Open Air Theatre - The Canterbury Tales

  • Bruce Green Foundation England United Kingdom (map)

Geoffrey Chaucer is not quite dead! Four alchemists, having discovered the elixir of life, have given Geoffrey a chance of survival. In a dramatic attempt to bring him back to life, they invite three of Chaucer's best-known pilgrim's, the Pardoner, the Nun's Priest and the Knight, to tell their Canterbury Tales.

Laugh Out Loud Theatre presents 'The Canterbury Tales', adapted by Martin Riley. Directed by Natalie Částka with actors Emma Kendrick, Keith Maddern, Leto Dietrich and Julia Holland playing the alchemists alongside children aged 10-16 from across Northamptonshire.

With a mixture of theatre professionals and budding amateur thespians, this is community theatre at its finest. Join us for an interactive medieval hoot for all the family!

"Martin Riley... exposes the fun and accessibility beneath the medieval text. Pythonesque!" Michael Dervan, The Irish Times
